Fresh cut grass, beautiful blue skies, a gentle breeze...yes it was certainly a beautiful weekend, and this southern girl took full advantage. After a full day spent soaking up all the vitamin D I could get, I even squeezed in a trip to the fabric store. I can honestly say I am so excited about the designs this fabric has inspired! Pretty pinks & creamy chocolates...vibrant blues & my own personal favorite...polka dots galore!! There's just something about these glorious little spots of happiness that make me smile every time. I'll give you a sneak peak of the wonderful color combinations coming soon...

I also found some GREAT fat quarters in excellent patterns (Hancock Fabrics - $.99 quarter sale!!) so I managed to get a few gifts completed. These are for two very special little girls soon to make their arrival. Cloth diapers work extremely well as burp cloths because they are soft, absorbent, and wash up great so I figured, why not make them pretty too! See the finished product below:
 |
| Maya Sarai Reece - soft green with lavender accents |
 |
| Haley Elizabeth - royal purple with lime green accents |
I thought they turned out quite nicely...now I just have to make the outfits to go with them. Can't wait to show you what I have planned for these!
As always, I hope you enjoy my creations. I certainly enjoyed making them. Til next time...
